Born in 1962, I spent my childhood in Yorkshire, growing up with a love of making things out of any wood I could find. This led to me doing a degree in three dimensional design at Brighton Univeristy, after which I spent 5 years working as a ceramics technician in the same department at Brighton.
I then embarked on a career as a designer maker, setting up my business in a shared studio just off Brighton seafront, which is where I am today 15 years on!
At first I concentrated on making one-off pieces of furniture, such as dining tables, chairs, beds etc. Then about 8 years ago I came up with a small range of clocks as a side line to the business, these were more successful than I had hoped and the furniture was soon 'shelved'! Since then I have developed a number of clock ranges which have been sold around the world to such diverse shops and galleries as Nieman Marcus, Liberty, Wacol (Japan) as well as a number of UK galleries.
My spare time is spent between family and making & playing an assortment of guitars.
